Customers often ask us about High Availability (HA), for example, how our TelcoBridges Tsbc session border controllers and Tmedia gateways implement this mission critical function. We asked Sylvain, one of our engineers, to explain.

Q: What does TelcoBridges do with software that is unique for high availability?

A: At TelcoBridges every piece of software is written to be HA from the get-go. This is because we have, prior to anything else, developed a framework (in software) so that each process, and each instance, is protected with a failover mechanism. If a software module is not written to be HA, it simply cannot run on our Media Gateway or SBC. We can say that High Availability is the foundation of our software.
